Throughout the majority of my life I was looking for someone who would finally get me, who would see beyond the superficial and grasp who I really am. I was looking for someone to love me, to have someone go at great lengths in order to capture my heart. I’m not looking for that anymore. I realized it’s better to understand than to be understood, to love rather than be loved. I was waiting for things to come my way, but that was futile. It wasn’t a real way to live. I had to venture out into the world and understand people rather than wait to be understood. I had to love other rather than seek it from them. And ever since I starting doing just that life has been taking me to unexpected places and led me to meet some wonderful people.
